Choosing someone to be present at your birth is a deeply personal decision. You should pick the doula that is the best fit for you, even if that isn't me! This allows us to meet and get a better idea of expectations to see if I am the right doula for you.
From the time you hire me, you will receive unlimited support through text or emails for any questions you may have while navigating pregnancy and preparing for birth.
From the onset of active labor, or when you feel you need a little more help, I will be to provide ongoing support. I will assist you and your partner in navigating your birth, and taking each moment as it comes.
We will go over your ideal birth, whatever that looks like, and develop birth preferences you can communicate with your care providers. We will also go over risks and benefits of common birth choices to make sure you are able to make informed decisions about your care.
Get to know each other better, so you feel more comfortable having me in your birth space. We will go over hopes and expectations, as well as refreshers on relevant info, and comfort measures.
Taking time to process your birth, and reflect on the tremendous journey you have just completed. Provide resources and referrals if needed.
